I'm finally done with the Alexi Cardigan!

I seamed up, added button and finally wore my Alexi Cardigan this weekend...just in time for the rain storm that came into San Diego. The weather hadn't been cool enough for me to wear the garment even if it was finished earlier. With that in mind, I am happy with the results. It will be a good weekend cardigan to wear with jeans. Now, off to finishing my numerous Christmas presents. I will be a busy bee this weekend!

Alexi Cardigan back update

I am going to finish knitting up to the 14” transition and then stop because I have noticed several comments in other's completed projects that the drop shoulder in the pattern runs a bit large. I am going to bring it into my knitting class on Tuesday night to see what options I have…I would prefer to make a set in sleeve, but not sure how to go about doing it.

Alexi Cardigan

I have started on my project for my Fall 2008 knitting class....I will be designing an Alexi Cardigan found on Berroco.com using Cascade 220 wool in color 2412. It's a free pattern featured on their website. A link is listed below.

So far, everything is going well with the project, but I have only finished the ribbing portion along with two rows of the pattern.

Easter hat

Here's a photo of Snoopy in his new bunny hat that I made for him. Pattern can be found in "Itty-Bitty Hats" by Susan B. Anderson. I decided to make it in white and opted out of using bows around the ears....I used yarn in the same color and it looks just fine. We've received tons of compliments with this hat...too cute!

Coming Home Outfit

Here's a picture of Snoopy in his first outfit that he wore home from the hospital. The blanket was knit from a star square pattern featured in "Natural Knits for Babies and Moms" by Louisa Harding. This is my favorite knitting book for babies...I've made several items out of this book. The turkey hat was adapted from a pattern that I found online.

Baby beret

Here's a photo of Snoopy in his knit beret. Pattern was found in "Simply Baby" by Debbie Bliss. I used virgin wool by Super Minnie; yarn that was purchased on a recent trip to Venice, Italy.
